Allison,

I admire you so much for your full disclosure and authenticity, and I cheer the fact that you can sleep at night - at peace - with the name you've chosen. And you know what? You *are* unlimited.

All my love,
Dawn

Allison - Girl You ROCK! You amaze me and delight me every time I am fortunate enough to cross paths with you. Love your honesty and your growth ... there are no wrong turns as long as you keep walking down the path girl!

I've had some of the same experiences ~ and am grateful, like you, for the opportunity to grow and expand. I quit blogging about 7 months ago as well. I found that I needed to stop writing so I could regroup and refocus. I'm now blogging, but for clients...and when I have something witty and wise to say again I'll get back to my own blog. Sometimes pulling back and regrouping is necessary. Kind of like the caterpillar and the cocoon into the butterfly...

Yea, you're definitely a butterfly. Much love my darling :)

"I am going with Allison Nazarian Unlimited."

Good choice! Years ago, I bought shelhorowitz.com, thinking I'd make it into a site for the speaking side of my business. Instead, I turned it into a portal to All Things Shel Horowitz: the dozen or so websites, the books and info products...all of it. I have discovered the lmitations of limiting brands, like FrugalFun and FrugalMarketing. Allison Nazarian Unlimited is, as you note, unlimited. You can go anywhere, do anything.

As for the idiot who's caught up in trying to wreck your business...right again. It's his karma. Back in 1977, I started a business called Ghostwriter's Ink. Couple of months later, as I was planning to close that business and move from Rhode Island to New York, I got a lawyer letter on the order of "my client is the ghostwriter and you can't call yourself a ghostwriter in Rhode island, blah blah blah." I wrote back saying that even though ghostwriter was a generic term and I could easily fight them in court, I was moving out of state so the issue was moot. I think I may have even mentioned the cooperate-with-competitors strategies I was already beginning to formulate, and to suggest that there would have been other ways to handle it. (Gee, I guess the Principled Profit philosophy has roots going back that far. :-) )

Finally, as the child of a very messy, ugly divorce, all I can say is that your children will thank you and Asher for being grownups. Mine are still throwing darts after 42 years of separation. Wish you the best in this next phase of your journey.

George was right--there's quite a bit here in this blog post. Glad I tuned in.

Alli -
Although we cheer for different football teams, live on opposite coasts of Florida, we do share the Stern thing in common! ;) No seriously, I am so grateful for you coming into my life and can't wait for that day we finally meet!

Alli,

It didn't take long after first meeting you to know your future really is UNLIMITED! You're a good friend, you're a GREAT person and an even better mother!

I, for one, feel blessed to call you a friend. I think it's safe to say I am not alone in feeling this way.To say I am happy for you would be an understatement.

Letting go, while sometimes difficult for us mere mortals, proves to the world just how wise you really are. Not that you need it, but it should prove to you just how far you've come. That is a lesson we should all take to heart. And in letting go, you will continue to soar to even higher highs.

Amy gave you great advice. There really is no better name. Talk about a great USP!

Like all of your friends, I will continue to be in your corner and cheer you on! There's a LOT of success in your future. I'd say it's unlimited, but I think that's a given.

Jay

P.S. By the way, with the two of us being such big Stern fans, it's kind of strange we never talk about the show. Maybe I need to break out some of my show impersonations for you.
