On Roller Coasters, Ups-n-Downs And This Thing Called Life

Change is good.

Fear is fine, too. (As long as it doesn’t stop you.)

Ups and downs are inevitable. Not always fun. But inevitable.

Nothing is perfect. Including life. What is perfect is the control you have over how you react and how you soldier on and how you live in spite of what happens or doesn’t happen.

Working On My Voice

For years, I’d heard or read about people, often women, finding their voice.

I never got that totally.

Finding it? Was it lost? And now it’s found?

The thing with cliches and other over-used terms if that they are actually, more than not, totally accurate and right-on. That’s how they got over-used and cliched in the first place.

Warning Signs From A Potential Client

So…I have been doing this thing (and by “this thing” I mean copywriting, running the show, being my own boss, wearing a million hats, etc.) for long enough to  know.

You know….to know.

To spot him or her.

The potential client who represents everything you would prefer to not work with. Ever. Often a super-nice person, and well-meaning, too. But on every other imaginable level, so not the right fit for you. (And that’s putting it nicely…).

I’m Back…(Or, How I Had To Stop Writing To Find My Voice Again)

I haven’t written a post or uttered even a single word on this blog since March of this year (about five months ago for those of you keeping count).

I have broken every imaginable rule of blogging…even and especially the ones I espouse (writing an absolute minimum of two posts/week, don’t even have a blog if you can’t feed it with content and on and on). I haven’t disappeared, because I am still running my business and my life on a daily (and I might add pretty productive!) basis.
